Biodiverse Mod (1.20.1) – Populate Your World with Tameable Pets and Mounts

Biodiverse Mod populates your world with 26 new animals across many different biomes. This mod brings life to empty environments by adding creatures that hunt, sleep, and interact with each other. You can find massive whales in the ocean, tame wild cats in the savanna, or shear thick wool from snowy beasts. It gives you new pets to befriend, mounts to ride, and unique items to craft from the animals you find.

Features:

• Tameable Pets: Raise lion cubs into armored companions or tame cheetahs with raw meat to fight by your side.
• Rideable Mounts: Saddle heavy rhinos to charge through enemies or ride fast ostriches that run across water.
• Special Weapons: Craft fast daggers from hippo teeth, long-reach crab claws, or a durable sword from oryx horns.
• Players can brew night vision potions using glowing bulbs dropped by deep ocean anglerfish.
• The mod lets you craft a large-radius pickaxe using rare cranium shards dropped by ice-breaking bowhead whales.
• You can wear a makeshift helmet made from sheared black bear fur or craft warm parka armor from musk ox wool.
• Feeding spider eyes to meerkats temporarily highlights nearby hostile mobs so you can stay safe.
• Red pandas hide in bamboo jungles and scare away spiders, just like normal cats scare creepers.
• Blowguns let you shoot poison darts made from tiny jungle frogs to freeze enemies in place.

• Oryx travel in desert herds and drop horns for crafting weapons.

Jungle & Forest Creatures:

• Jaguars hunt capybaras from behind, and you might even spot a rare black jaguar.
• Orangutans easily climb up tree logs to swing around the jungle.
• Cassowaries are angry birds that you can calm down with melon slices to make them dig up seeds.
• Black bears live in forests and beg for honey or berries.
• Elk travel in groups, with tough males defending the herd from attackers.

Snow & Mountain Beasts:

• Cougars stalk cold mountains and attack players or goats that wander too close.
• Musk oxen grow thick wool when they eat grass, which you can shear for warm clothing.
