Dogs are man’s best friend. But in Minecraft, there are no dogs. The alternative is to tame and pet wolves. But what if you actually wanted a dog pet in Minecraft? Companions – Dogfolk Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) is here with the solution. This mod adds a new type of dog that spawns in plains biomes. They can be tamed/healed with meat, and their behavior can be switched by right-clicking on them with a bone. You can sneak and right click on them to make them hold an item. Simply right click on them to open their inventory.
