FabricProxy Lite Mod (26.1.2, 1.20.1) – Velocity Modern Forwarding

FabricProxy Lite Mod is a mod for Minecraft servers, designed to facilitate the forwarding of player information from Velocity proxies to Fabric servers. This mod is a lighter version of FabricProxy, and only supports Velocity (not BungeeCord). This results in better compatibility with other mods on the server.

Features:

• Place the mod .jar file in the mods folder of the Fabric server along with the Fabric API.
• Start the server so the mod generates the default configuration file.
• Open the config/FabricProxy-Lite.toml file to configure options such as the secret key and customize online mode or packet behavior.
• In your Velocity proxy configuration, enable modern forwarding mode and set the forwarding secret to match the secret value in the mod’s configuration, to allow the server to receive accurate player information.
• FabricProxy Lite.toml configuration parameters:
  • hackOnlineModeAllows the server to accept connections via proxy without disabling online mode. Environment variableFABRICPROXY_LITE_HACK_ONLINE_MODEThe default value is true.
  • hackEarlySendEnables early packet sending to allow UUID or player info to be sent before QUERY_START. This is necessary for some mods like LuckPerms to receive UUIDs at the right time. Environment variableFABRICPROXY_LITE_HACK_EARLY_SENDThe default value is false.
  • hackMessageChainHelps fix the issue of players being kicked due to missing or invalid chat packets when switching servers by adjusting how message chains are handled. Environment variable FABRICPROXY_LITE_HACK_MESSAGE_CHAINThe default value is false.
  • disconnectMessageCustom kick or disconnect message for players not connecting via Velocity. Environment variableFABRICPROXY_LITE_DISCONNECT_MESSAGEThe default is “This server requires you to connect with Velocity.”
  • secretThe Velocity forwarding secret string is required for the server to receive data from the proxy. This value must match the forwarding. secret configured in Velocity. Environment variableFABRICPROXY_LITE_SECRETNo default value, user must fill it in.
