Friday The 13th Jason Voorhees Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) is a horror Minecraft mod that adds a stalking slasher-style enemy, themed biome, structures, items, and a new wood type. It is designed to create tense survival gameplay, especially in forest areas.

Biome

  • Fir Forest
    • Similar to taiga but with unique trees
    • Provides a new buildable wood type
    • Main spawn area for the slasher entity

Items

  • Heart of the Slasher
    • Gives Strength III and Water Breathing while in inventory
  • Slasher’s Machete
    • Higher damage than a sword
    • Slower attack speed

Structures

  • Large Fir Cabin
  • Small Fir Cabin
  • Campsite
  • Can also generate in taiga using spruce variants

Slasher Behavior

  • Can spawn near players after at least one in-game day
  • Spawns in forest-type biomes
  • Default spawn time is night (daytime optional in config)
  • Before chasing, may:
    • Watch from a distance
    • Wander nearby
    • Approach buildings and windows
  • During chase:
    • Breaks doors after several hits
    • Breaks glass instantly (glass regenerates later)
    • Can grab the player – escape by moving repeatedly
    • Searches last known position if target is lost
  • Special threat:
    • Underwater grab attack may pull players downward
    • Repeated hits can apply an injury effect that slows movement and disables sprint jumping

Config Access

  • Open in-game menu with: /friday_jason:config
  • Or edit file inside the config folder

Key Config Options

  • Adjust spawn rate and respawn cooldown
  • Enable or disable chase music
  • Allow daytime spawning
  • Scale speed and damage by rage stages
  • Choose between custom music or game-style music
