Since amethyst bud blocks are immovable, these farms have to be built at the location of the geode itself. And the varying random arrangement of bud blocks requires you to place slime and honey blocks in an optimal layout for more accuracy. Geodesy Mod (1.21.5, 1.20.1) helps identify that optimal block layout.
