Golemania Mod (1.16.5) adds many new golem types to Minecraft, each with unique abilities, behaviors, and crafting methods. Some golems are friendly helpers, some are defensive guards, and some are dangerous if not handled correctly. The mod also adds new machines, items, and advancements.

Features:

  • Buildable Golems
    • Created like Iron/Snow golems using block structures
    • Use special block combinations + carved heads
  • Golem Forge
    • Machine used to create advanced golems
    • Insert a Golem Tablet to select golem type
    • Add required materials into the forge
    • Forge processes and forms the golem
    • Mould must be reset with Cobblestone after use
    • Can be found in some villages or crafted
  • Golem Tablets
    • Recipe blueprints for forge-only golems
    • Found in village chests or crafted
  • Patrol Beacons
    • Waypoints for certain golems
    • Set patrol routes by numbering beacon rings
    • Used for automated defense paths

Overheated Golems

  • Some forged golems spawn hostile
  • Have a stun weakness window
  • Use 3 water buckets while stunned to calm them

  • Amethyst Golem
    • Friendly support unit
    • Heals nearby friendly mobs
    • Needs rest after healing
  • Coal Golem
    • Auto-fuels furnaces without fuel items
    • Rests after activating furnaces
  • Cobblestone Golem
    • Defensive bomber
    • Explodes to damage enemies
    • Explosion does not break terrain
    • Reforms from fragments
  • Golden Golem
    • Found in Bastion areas
    • Hostile if you wear gold (naturally spawned)
    • Player-built version defends you
  • Furnace Golem (Forge-made)
    • Heavy melee fighter
    • Fire attacks and knock-up strikes
    • Sometimes gives torches to villagers
  • Diamond Golem (Forge-made)
    • Knight-style tank
    • Sword + shield combat
    • Can use patrol beacons
  • Obsidian Golem (Forge-made, overheated)
    • Fast rolling movement
    • Ranged explosive shots
    • Can be ridden
    • Projectiles can be reflected to stun it
  • TNT Golem (Forge-made, overheated)
    • Launches primed TNT
    • Useful for mining and demolition
    • Explodes on death
    • Rideable and player-controlled firing
  • Netherite Golem
    • Upgrade from Diamond Golem
    • Hammer + shield + tail attacks
    • Fire damage and very high durability
    • Supports advanced patrol beacons

World Integration

  • Some golems can spawn in villages
  • Villagers may summon special golems when panicking
  • Obsidian Golems can appear in hard-mode raids
  • Spawn eggs added for all golems
