Legendary Survival Overhaul Mod is a highly configurable mod that significantly expands Minecraft’s survival mechanics. It introduces new systems such as temperature, thirst, localized body damage, and a redesigned health system to create a more immersive and challenging survival experience.

Features:
- Temperature System
- A dynamic body temperature system influenced by environment factors such as biomes, weather, altitude, and time of day.
- Extreme temperatures increase survival difficulty and can eventually lead to death if not managed.
- Cold temperatures increase food consumption.
- Armor can be insulated using a
Sewing Tableto stabilize body temperature. - New plants such as Sun Fern and Ice Fern are used to craft temperature-related potions and armor insulation materials.
- Rare Golden Ferns can be obtained when growing ferns and are used to craft temperature immunity potions.
- New blocks can heat or cool the surrounding area to help regulate body temperature.
- The system automatically detects when the player is inside a house to extend temperature protection.
- Compatible with Serene Seasons.
- Players can craft useful tools such as a
Calendarto track seasons and aThermometerto read exact temperatures. - Special clothing for hot and cold biomes can be crafted or found in loot tables.
- Different foods can increase or decrease body temperature.
- Thirst System
- Adds a new Hydration Bar that works similarly to the vanilla hunger bar.
- Most actions slowly consume hydration.
- Hot environments increase thirst exhaustion.
- Players can drink water directly by right-clicking a water block with an empty hand.
- Dirty water may cause negative effects, so purification is recommended.
- Water can be purified in furnaces and stored inside
Canteens. - Players can drink clean rainwater by looking up and right-clicking during rain.
- New plants and juices provide additional hydration options.
- Introduces several wearable items compatible with Curios.
- Localized Body Damage
- The player’s body is divided into multiple limbs with independent health.
- Each damage source is assigned to a specific body part.

- Head → Headache (periodic blindness)
- Body → Vulnerability (increased damage taken)
- Arms → Weakness or Mining Fatigue
- Legs → Hard Falling
- Feet → Slowness
- Projectile damage to the head deals double damage.
- Broken limbs must be treated using specific healing items.
- Health Overhaul
- Adds new items to increase maximum health:
Heart FragmentsHeart Containers
- Heart Fragments can be found in structures such as:
- Buried Treasure
- Jungle Temples
- Abandoned Mineshafts
- Bastion Treasure Rooms
- Introduces Broken Hearts, which temporarily reduce maximum health when limbs are fully damaged.
- Resilient Hearts ensure players always retain a minimum amount of health.
- Shield Hearts replace temporary absorption hearts and are consumed before normal health.
- Optional configuration allows players to lose hearts upon death, balanced by Permanent Hearts which cannot be lost.
