Loot Table Modifier Mod (1.21.8, 1.21.1) is a utility mod for Minecraft that allows datapacks or mods to change the loot table instead of overwriting it completely. This allows for greater flexibility in adjusting the items dropped from mobs, chests, or other loot sources.

Features:

  • Allows adding (modifying) pools to existing loot tables, without having to replace the entire original loot table.
  • When reloading a datapack (e.g., when joining a world or running /reload), the mod will apply modifiers and log execution time to the console – no performance impact during normal play.
  • Datagen support: the mod provides a provider to generate JSON modifier files for other mods to use.
  • The modifier JSON file has two main parts: “modifies” (defines the target loot table) and “pools” (array of new pools following the vanilla Minecraft loot pool structure).
  • Version 2 (alpha) has been developed – adding more ways to modify the loot table, but still keeping backwards compatibility with modifiers from v1.
  • When modifiers are applied, the mod prints out the execution time log for easier debugging by the user or dev.
