Modern Chickens Mod (1.21.11, 1.21.1) – Never Mine Again with Resource-Laying

Modern Chickens Mod brings back the classic resource farming gameplay from the old Chickens and Roost mods. It lets you breed special birds that lay eggs made of ores, fluids, and energy instead of normal items. You can start with basic chickens found in the wild and combine them to unlock higher tiers. The mod gives you machines to automate the whole process, so you never have to mine for basic materials again. It also connects with many other popular mods to add even more resource types to your farm.

Commands:

• /chickens spawn multiplier <value>: changes how often birds spawn in the world.
• /chickens spawn debug : turns spawn testing messages on or off.
• /chickens spawn summon <chickenNameOrId>: spawns a specific bird right next to you.
• /chickens spawn summon_random [normal|snow|end|hell]: spawns a random bird from a specific biome group.
• /chickens custom list: shows all the custom birds loaded in the game.
• /chickens export breeding: saves a list of all current breeding combinations.

Configuration:

• config/chickens.cfg: adjusts egg drop rates, machine speeds, and natural spawn rules.
• config/chickens_custom.json: lets you create your own custom birds without writing code.

How to Use:

1. Walk around the world to find and catch basic Tier 1 chickens, or use colored dyes on thrown eggs to get dyed variants.
2. Hold the Analyzer and right-click a bird to check its stats.
3. Place two different birds inside the Breeder block to mix them and get higher-tier eggs.
4. Put your best birds inside a Roost block.
5. Place a Collector nearby to automatically gather all the dropped items and eggs into a chest.
6. Use machines like the Avian Fluid Converter to turn liquid eggs into real fluids for your factory.
