Observed Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) – Debuff-Based Entity Encounter

Observed Mod adds a new hostile-neutral entity called the Observer. The Observer does not directly attack players but instead watches them from a distance. While being observed, players gradually accumulate negative effects that intensify the longer they remain in range. The closer a player is to an Observer, the faster these effects build up.

Features:

• Adds a new entity called the Observer
• Observer does not attack but applies harmful effects over time
• Observation intensity increases with proximity
• Observed players spread effects at half strength to nearby players
• Static-like sound plays when an Observer is observing a player
• Players receive an “Observed” status effect as a progression indicator
• Observation points drain over time, even while being observed
• Higher observation levels result in stronger debuffs
• Observer releases a poison pool when attacked
• Observer drops an eye item on death
• Observer eye can be eaten for food and short night vision
• Observer eye can be crafted into an Eye of Ender with a ghast tear
