In the vanilla game, you can convert a raw ore block into nine raw ores, and then smelt the raw ores into their respective ingots. These ingots can then be crafted into metal blocks. Raw Ore Block Blasting Mod (1.21.8, 1.20.1) is here to make this process a lot simpler. With this mod installed, you can smelt a raw ore block in a blast furnace to obtain a metal block. The raw ore block takes eight times more time to smelt compared to raw ores.
