Alternate Current Mod is an optimized and non-local approach to redstone mechanics, focused on reducing the delay caused by redstone circuits. The improvement is achieved by modifying calculation methods and minimizing the number of block and circuit state updates. These changes help save computational resources used to process redstone contraptions. While the impact is minimal for a small number of simple mechanisms, the mod significantly boosts performance when dealing with numerous or highly complex setups.
Features:
- Minimize the number of times a wire checks its surroundings to determine its power level.
- Minimize the number of block and shape updates emitted.
- Emit block and shape updates in a deterministic, non-locational order, fixing bug MC-11193.
