Backrooms Found Footage Mod (1.20.1) – Dive Into The Backrooms

Backrooms Found Footage Mod is a mod that transforms Minecraft into a surreal “found footage” horror experience, influenced by the Backrooms urban myth. It introduces unsettling environments, and unique gameplay mechanics to evoke the feeling of being trapped in a distorted reality.

Features:

• Utilizes custom shaders and camera effects via Veil to replicate the VHS-style distortion and motion blur characteristic of found footage horror. Note: Incompatible with Sodium, Iris, and Indium shaders. It’s recommended to use Fast or Fancy graphics settings instead of Fabulous.
• Players can “noclip” into the Backrooms by suffocating themselves in-game. Once inside, they must navigate through five distinct levels:
  • Level 0 – The familiar, endless yellow rooms.
  • Level 1 – The Habitable Zone.
  • Level 2 – Pipe Dreams.
  • The Poolrooms – A surreal aquatic environment.
  • The Infinite Grass Field – A unique, expansive area.
• Custom Commands:
  • /skinwalker <target>: Just in case the skinwalker refuses to spawn naturally, you can do this to have the skinwalker take the skin of your target. Don’t tell anyone 😀
  • /release <target>: Releases the target from the skinwalker if the target has had their skin stolen
  • /backroomsevent <event>: Manually triggers an event
  • /gimmemyinventoryback <target>: Restores the saved inventory of the specified targets from before they entered the Backrooms
  • /level <level>: Manually teleport yourself to a certain level.
