The enchanted golden apple, also known as the “Notch apple”,  is an amazing consumable that will prove useful in many life-death situations. When consumed, the apple gives the player extra hearts along with some powerful player effects. Therefore, the enchanted golden apple is considered a treasure item and can only be obtained by looting treasure chests. But this was not always the case. In the early 1.8 versions of the game, the Notch apple used to be a craftable item. Craftable Notch Apple Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) adds that recipe back into the game.
