The Farsighted Mobs Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.4) adds configuration options for changing the maximum range of hostile mobs and the minimum health they can have before being considered “dead”. The mobs in Minecraft are close to sighted as it is, but Farsighted Mobs Mod does not make it easier for you to get away from them. It increases the minimum range of every hostile mob to at least 32 blocks, making the game a lot harder. The behavior is fully configurable from the config: Not only can the minimum range of all hostile mobs be changed like this, but you can also even override individual mob types if you ever thought zombies were just too easy to get away from! For example, it is possible to disable specific mob types from being farsighted or even set their minimum range to 0 blocks, essentially making them blind again.
