Caged Mobs Mod (1.20.2, 1.19.4) adds new content to the game in the form of items such as cages that can be used to capture monsters. Have you ever wished you could build something that would automatically get resources from monsters and other creatures? Try your hand at Caged Mobs Mod if you have ever planned to create such things or are currently interested in doing so. To begin, you will need to construct a mob cage. There are two varieties available: the standard mob cage, from which drops must be collected manually, and the hopping mob cage, from which drops are automatically collected in an inventory below the cage. Then, place the entity inside an item that will help to set up the environment for it, so that it can feel as though it is at home, kind of, while still obviously not being imprisoned. As long as you have enough resources, you can not only have a monster cage that produces materials but also create cages that produce materials for bosses!

Features:

  • The easy and lag-free way for collecting entity drops!
  • 72 entities from vanilla Minecraft to sample.
  • 15 types of environments.
  • Ability to sample boss entities.
  • Three cage upgrades.

Some examples of environments would be:

  • For farm animals or neutral mobs, you need a hay block (or grass block for better yields)
  • Monsters like to hang out in caves, use a stone block (or diamond ore for better yields)
  • For nether mobs, you need a magma block (or gilded Blackstone for better yields)
  • End mobs require end stone (or chorus flower for better yields)
  • Aquatic mobs require sand (or red sand for better yields) as the environment and a waterlogged cage! (place the cage in the already existing pool of water or shift-right-click it with the water bucket)
  • Cold biome mobs like snow block (or blue ice for better yields)
  • Sand (or red sand for better yields) blocks for desert entities.
  • Red Mushroom Block (or mycelium for better yields) for entities from the mushroom island!
