In the vanilla game, the recipe for a compass requires four iron ingots. This makes no sense, as other recipes for larger iron items require way less ingots. For example, six iron ingots can be crafted into three iron doors. This means one iron door requires only two ingots. Cheaper Compasses Mod (1.21.5, 1.20.1)  is here to make things balanced. This mod basically replaces the iron ingots in the crafting recipe of the compass with one ingot and three nuggets instead, allowing you to craft them for way cheaper.
