Enhanced AI Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) changes and enhances mob behavior, making the game significantly harder and more dangerous. Mobs will see players from greater distances, passive mobs will fight back in groups, and many enemies will gain new abilities and attacks, including faster swimming. If you love hardcore survival, this mod is for you!

Features:

Changes for All Mobs:

  • Mobs notice you instantly—every game tick.
  • Can detect players from 32-64 blocks away in direct sight and 16-32 blocks away even without sight.
  • Swim 2.5× faster.
  • Cannot be trapped in boats or minecarts.
  • Can use ladders.

Passive Mobs:

  • No longer fully passive—they retaliate and knock back players hard.
  • Attack in groups.

Blaze:

  • Fires faster, shoots more projectiles, and has better accuracy.

Creeper:

  • Can explode much stronger.
  • 10% chance to keep moving while detonating.
  • 10% chance to ignore walls and explode even if there’s a barrier.
  • 7.5% chance to break walls to let other mobs in.
  • 5% chance to charge toward players, even breaking walls.
  • 2% chance to spawn with the “Creeper Cena” ability—shouting the meme phrase “His name is John Cena!” before exploding.

Drowned:

  • Swim even faster.

Ghast:

  • Can fire up to 3 shots at once.
  • 30% chance to shoot at a player even without direct vision.
  • Fires much faster.

Skeleton:

  • Shoots from up to 32 blocks away, with higher accuracy.
  • 50% chance to flee if a player gets too close.
  • Can shoot while running away (50% chance).
  • 33.3% chance to gain rapid fire ability.
  • 7% chance to become a “spammer”—shooting very frequently but with low bow charge.

Spider:

  • 10% chance to throw a web at the player.
  • Takes 90% less fall damage.

Witch:

  • Throws more potions, from a greater distance.
  • Does not chase players if out of sight.
  • 25% chance to throw potions backward.
  • Uses Slow Falling potion if dropping more than 8 blocks.
  • If low on health, will use Invisibility and run away.
  • Drinks more potions, including milk to remove debuffs.
  • 33% chance to use dark arts, killing a villager to summon a new witch.

Zombie:

  • 7% chance to spawn with a wooden pickaxe, breaking blocks below ocean level.
  • 4% chance to use Ender Pearls for teleportation, sometimes having 2 pearls.
  • 7% chance to spawn with a fishing rod, pulling players closer.
  • Upcoming feature: Ability to place blocks.
