This Minecraft tutorial explains all about vexes with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

A vex is a new type of mob released in Minecraft. They are smalled winged mobs that are summoned by evokers found in Woodland Mansions. Let’s learn about vexes in Minecraft.

Hostility Level (Hostile)

A vex is a hostile mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and vexes. Because a vex is a hostile mob, it will attack you in Survival mode but not Creative mode.

Health Points

In Minecraft, a vex has 7 hearts  for health. This gives a vex 14 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a vex, you need to inflict 14 points of damage to the vex.

Where to Find Vexes

In Minecraft, you can find vexes in Woodland Mansions which are found in the Dark Forest biome.

To find a vex, you will need to go to the top floor of a Woodland Mansion where you will find a single evoker in one of the rooms. When the evoker attacks you, it will summon between 2 and 4 vexes.

If you are having trouble finding a vex, you can also summon a vex using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.

Weapon

A vex carries an iron sword as a weapon.

Attack Method

In Minecraft, a vex will fly towards you and try to strike you with its iron sword when it attacks. A vex can fly through solid objects such as walls in the mansion.

Drops

When you kill a vex in Minecraft, it will not drop anything. It is one of the few mobs that when killed, does not drop any items.

Experience Points

As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.

These orbs represent experience points. When you kill a vex, you will gain 3 experience points.

Spawn Egg for Vex

You can spawn a vex using the following spawn egg:
