Hostility Level (Passive)
A pufferfish is a neutral mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and pufferfish. A pufferfish is one of the more unique mobs in Minecraft. We’ve classified it as a neutral mob because it doesn’t directly attack you. However if you get too close to one, it will give you the Poison effect for 7 seconds.
Health Points
In Minecraft, a pufferfish has 1.5 hearts
for health. This gives a pufferfish 3 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a pufferfish, you need to inflict 3 points of damage to the pufferfish.
Where to Find Pufferfish
In Minecraft, you can find pufferfish in the water in Warm Ocean and Lukewarm Ocean biomes.
Warm Ocean

Lukewarm Ocean

A pufferfish can only survive in the water. If it is on land, it will start to take damage until it dies.
If you are having trouble finding a pufferfish, you can summon a pufferfish using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
Weapon
A pufferfish does not carry a weapon.
Attack Method
In Minecraft, a pufferfish will not directly attack you. But be careful with a pufferfish because if you get too close to one, it will puff up and give you the Poison effect for 7 seconds.
Drops
When you kill a pufferfish in Minecraft, it will drop a pufferfish.

Make sure you pick up any dropped items before they disappear. They are useful and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
Experience Points
As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.

These orbs represent experience points. Unfortunately, when you kill a pufferfish, you will not gain any experience points.
