Background
A zombie villager is a variant of zombie. The following is a picture of what a zombie villager looks like in the game:

| Hostility Level | Hostile Mob |
|---|---|
| Health Points | 20 health points |
| Where to Find | Near villages (A villager spawns within a village and gets attacked by a zombie turning it into a zombie villager) |
| Weapon | None |
| Attack Method | Moves toward you and tries to hit you |
| Drops | 0-2 Rotten Flesh |
| Experience Points | 5 experience points |
Hostility Level (Hostile)
A zombie villager is a hostile mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and zombie villagers. Because a zombie villager is a hostile mob, it will attack you in Survival mode but not Creative mode.
Health Points
In Minecraft, a zombie villager has 10 hearts
for health. This gives a zombie villager 20 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a zombie villager, you need to inflict 20 points of damage to the zombie villager.
Where to Find Zombie Villagers
In Minecraft, zombie villagers can be found near villages in most biomes.
Plains Village

Desert Village

Savanna Village

Taiga Village

When a zombie attacks a villager in Minecraft, the villager will transform into a zombie villager. This is why you will find zombie villagers near a village.
If you are having trouble finding a zombie villager, you can summon a zombie villager using a cheat or you can use a spawn egg.
Weapon
A zombie villager does not carry a weapon.
Attack Method
In Minecraft, a zombie villager will move towards you and try to hit you when it attacks.
Drops
When you kill a zombie villager in Minecraft, it will drop rotten flesh.

Make sure you pick up any dropped items before they disappear. They are useful and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
Experience Points
As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.

These orbs represent experience points. When you kill a zombie villager, you will gain 5 experience points.
